Quality Manager

We are seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and control functions for our automotive manufacturing plant in Pune. This role involves overseeing quality systems, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 and other automotive quality standards. You will manage a team of quality engineers and work closely with production, R&D, and supplier quality teams.

• Lead plant-wide quality management with responsibility for incoming, in-process, and final quality assurance
• Drive implementation of quality management systems including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements
• Manage quality metrics including PPM, COPQ, customer complaints, and warranty returns with year-on-year improvement targets
• Lead root cause analysis for major quality issues using 8D, 5-Why, and other problem-solving methodologies
• Coordinate with supplier quality teams to ensure vendor quality standards and conduct supplier audits
• Develop and mentor a team of 15+ quality engineers and inspectors across multiple shifts

• 11+ years of experience in quality management in automotive or auto component manufacturing
• Strong expertise in quality tools including SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP, and APQP
• Proven track record of implementing quality systems and achieving certification to IATF 16949
• Experience managing quality for high-volume manufacturing with production volumes of 500+ units per day
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering; Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical mindset and proficiency in quality management software and Minitab
