Quality Manager - Automotive

The Quality Manager will lead quality assurance and quality control operations for the Pune manufacturing facility producing wiring harnesses for passenger vehicles. This role involves ensuring zero-defect manufacturing, implementing advanced quality systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will manage a team of quality engineers and inspectors while interfacing with OEM customers on quality performance and audit requirements.

• Lead plant-wide quality management system aligned with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements
• Drive PPM reduction initiatives and ensure achievement of zero-defect targets for OEM deliveries
• Oversee incoming quality control, in-process inspection, and final product validation processes
• Manage customer quality issues including 8D analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective action implementation
• Conduct regular quality audits (layered process audits, system audits) and coordinate external customer audits
• Lead quality improvement projects using Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other lean manufacturing methodologies

• 10-14 years of quality management experience in automotive manufacturing, preferably wiring harness or electrical components
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering from a recognized university
• Strong expertise in IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification; lean manufacturing certification is preferred
• Experience managing quality teams of 15+ members and interfacing with Tier-1 OEM customers
• Strong problem-solving skills using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and other quality tools
• Proficiency in quality management software, Minitab, and MS Office Suite
