QA/QC Lead - Automotive Components

The QA/QC Lead will head the quality assurance and quality control functions for the Pune manufacturing facility, ensuring zero-defect production and compliance with automotive industry standards including IATF 16949. You will lead a team of quality engineers, implement advanced quality systems, and collaborate closely with production, engineering, and customer teams. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for delivering world-class automotive components.

• Lead and manage the QA/QC department with a team of 15-20 quality engineers and inspectors
• Implement and maintain IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific quality requirements
• Drive zero-defect manufacturing through APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC methodologies
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Manage supplier quality development programs and conduct regular vendor audits
• Coordinate with customer quality teams, handle audits, and resolve quality escalations

• 8-12 years of experience in quality management within automotive or precision manufacturing
• Strong expertise in IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and 8D problem-solving
• Proven experience in managing quality teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Hands-on knowledge of quality tools including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen
• Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Minitab or similar statistical software
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering; Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
• Strong communication skills to interface with international customers and cross-functional teams
