Plant Head - Manufacturing Operations

The Plant Head will be responsible for end-to-end manufacturing operations of a large-scale steel production facility, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. This leadership role requires deep technical expertise and proven people management capabilities.

• Lead overall plant operations including production planning, maintenance, quality assurance, and safety for a facility with 1000+ workforce
• Drive production efficiency and cost optimization initiatives to achieve annual production targets exceeding 500,000 tonnes
• Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational performance
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and maintain zero-accident culture
• Lead cross-functional teams including production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and logistics
• Develop and execute capital expenditure projects and technology upgrades to modernize plant capabilities

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Industrial Engineering; Master's degree or MBA is preferred
• 12+ years of experience in steel manufacturing or heavy industries with at least 5 years in plant leadership roles
• Strong expertise in production planning, process optimization, and manufacturing excellence frameworks
• Demonstrated track record of managing large-scale operations with P&L responsibility
• In-depth knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and regulatory compliance
• Excellent leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar is highly desirable
