Plant Head - Automotive Manufacturing

We are seeking a seasoned Plant Head to lead our Manesar manufacturing facility producing 250,000+ vehicles annually. This critical leadership role requires expertise in automotive manufacturing, team management, and operational excellence to drive production targets, quality, safety, and cost optimization.

• Lead overall plant operations with full P&L responsibility for a facility with 2,500+ workforce
• Drive production planning, capacity utilization, and achievement of monthly production targets
• Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO/TS 16949) and maintain defect-free manufacturing processes
• Implement lean manufacturing, kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity
• Oversee safety protocols, compliance with environmental regulations, and maintain zero-accident culture
• Manage capital expenditure, cost optimization, and operational budgets exceeding ₹100 crores annually

• 15-20 years of experience in automotive manufacturing with minimum 8 years in plant leadership roles
• Strong expertise in assembly line operations, body shop, paint shop, and engine manufacturing
• Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing, TQM, TPM, Six Sigma, and operational excellence frameworks
• Proven track record of managing large manufacturing teams (2,000+ employees) and union relations
• Experience with Japanese manufacturing systems and work culture is highly preferred
• B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering; MBA or relevant postgraduate degree preferred
• Excellent leadership, crisis management, and stakeholder communication capabilities
