Lead AI/ML Engineer - NLP & Conversational AI

We are looking for a Lead AI/ML Engineer to advance our conversational AI and NLP capabilities across Freshworks products. You will build intelligent chatbots, sentiment analysis systems, and automated customer support solutions. This is a remote role offering the opportunity to work with global teams and impact millions of customer interactions.

• Design and develop NLP models for chatbots, intent classification, and entity extraction
• Build conversational AI systems that power customer support automation
• Implement sentiment analysis and text classification models for customer feedback
• Optimize ML models for production deployment with focus on latency and accuracy
• Collaborate with product teams to integrate AI capabilities into Freshworks products
• Lead research initiatives to explore latest advances in LLMs and generative AI

• 7+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering with strong focus on NLP
• Expertise in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and NLP libraries like spaCy or Hugging Face
• Experience building and deploying conversational AI systems or chatbots
• Strong understanding of transformer models, BERT, GPT, and LLM fine-tuning
• Experience with cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, or Azure ML)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in remote teams
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field preferred
