Design Engineer - HVAC Systems

The Design Engineer - HVAC Systems will lead the design and engineering of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for large infrastructure and commercial projects. This role requires strong technical expertise in HVAC design, energy efficiency, and sustainable building practices.

• Design comprehensive HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects
• Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and duct/piping design using industry-standard software
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bill of materials
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP consultants for design integration
• Ensure compliance with Indian and international standards (NBC, ASHRAE, ISHRAE)
• Review vendor submissions, conduct site visits, and provide technical support during construction

• B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years in HVAC design for large projects
• Proficiency in HVAC design software like HAP, Trane Trace, AutoCAD MEP, and Revit MEP
• Strong understanding of thermal comfort, energy modeling, and green building certifications (LEED, IGBC)
• Experience designing HVAC systems for commercial buildings, data centers, or industrial facilities
• Knowledge of BMS integration, VRV/VRF systems, and chilled water plants
• Excellent technical communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Professional certification (ISHRAE, ASHRAE) is a plus
