Agency Development Manager - Retail Life Insurance

The Agency Development Manager will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing agency force to drive retail life insurance sales in the NCR region. This role requires strong leadership, sales acumen, and the ability to build and scale distribution networks. You will manage a team of advisors and drive business growth through effective agency management.

• Recruit, onboard, and activate quality life insurance advisors to build a robust agency channel in NCR territory
• Drive business growth by achieving monthly and quarterly premium targets through the agency distribution channel
• Conduct regular training programs, product sessions, and motivational workshops to enhance advisor productivity
• Monitor advisor performance, provide coaching, and implement retention strategies to reduce attrition
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, sales processes, and company policies across the agency network
• Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to support advisors with sales tools, leads, and customer service

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or insurance certification (IRDA license) preferred
• 7+ years of experience in life insurance with minimum 4 years in agency development or sales management
• Proven track record of recruiting and managing large agency teams (50+ advisors) and achieving sales targets
• Strong understanding of life insurance products including term, ULIP, traditional, and group insurance
• Excellent communication, training, and motivational skills with ability to inspire and lead teams
• Deep knowledge of insurance regulations, compliance requirements, and sales best practices
• Willingness to work in field-based role with extensive travel within NCR region
