Senior Research Associate - Equity Research

The Senior Research Associate will lead equity research coverage for Indian mid-cap companies across manufacturing and industrial sectors, delivering high-quality research reports and financial models to global institutional clients. This role offers significant intellectual challenge and direct client interaction.

• Conduct comprehensive equity research on 15-20 mid-cap Indian companies covering sectors like chemicals, engineering, and capital goods
• Build detailed financial models with 3-statement modeling, DCF valuations, and sensitivity analysis
• Publish initiation reports, quarterly earnings updates, and thematic research pieces for institutional investor clients
• Interact directly with company management teams, industry experts, and clients to gather insights and validate research findings
• Monitor sector trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors impacting coverage universe
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices development

• 6-9 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or portfolio management with focus on Indian equities
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills including DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions
• CA, CFA Level 2 or higher, or MBA in Finance from premier institute with excellent academic track record
• Deep understanding of Indian manufacturing and industrial sectors including supply chain dynamics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to articulate complex investment ideas clearly
• Proficiency in Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, and advanced Excel for financial analysis
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams
