About the Role
The Relationship Manager will manage a portfolio of mid-to-large corporate clients, driving business growth through credit facilities, cash management solutions, and treasury products. This role involves relationship building, credit assessment, portfolio management, and achieving revenue targets in Mumbai's vibrant corporate banking market.
What You Will Be Doing
- Manage and grow a portfolio of 40-50 corporate clients with annual turnover ranging from ₹100 crores to ₹1000+ crores
- Drive liability and asset growth through working capital loans, term loans, trade finance, cash management, and forex services
- Conduct comprehensive credit assessments, prepare credit proposals, and present cases to credit committees for approval
- Monitor portfolio health, ensure timely loan servicing, track early warning signals, and manage risk mitigation
- Cross-sell treasury products, investment banking services, and corporate solutions in collaboration with product teams
- Achieve annual business targets including disbursement goals, CASA growth, fee income, and portfolio quality metrics
What HDFC Bank Is Looking For
- 6-10 years of experience in corporate banking, relationship management, or credit roles in private or public sector banks
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, credit risk assessment, and corporate lending products
- Proven track record of acquiring new corporate relationships and growing existing client portfolios
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with ability to engage with CFOs, finance heads, and promoters
- Knowledge of RBI guidelines, banking regulations, and credit documentation processes
- MBA in Finance or CA/ICWA qualification preferred; commerce graduates with relevant banking experience also considered
- Willingness to work in a target-driven environment with client meetings across Mumbai and surrounding areas
