Regional Sales Head - Modern Trade

The Regional Sales Head for Modern Trade will drive strategic partnerships and sales execution across key retail chains in East India. This leadership role requires managing large format retail relationships, trade marketing, and revenue growth across the region.

• Lead sales strategy and execution for Modern Trade channel across East region covering major retail chains
• Manage relationships with key accounts including DMart, Reliance Retail, Big Bazaar, and regional chains
• Drive revenue targets, distribution expansion, and category growth across stores
• Collaborate with category and trade marketing teams to plan promotions, visibility, and new product launches
• Manage team of Area Sales Managers and Territory Sales Officers ensuring performance excellence
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to optimize channel strategy and ROI

• 12+ years of sales experience in FMCG with at least 6 years in Modern Trade channel management
• Proven track record of managing large retail accounts and driving double-digit growth
• Strong negotiation, commercial acumen, and P&L management capabilities
• Deep understanding of retail dynamics, category management, and trade marketing
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with ability to inspire and drive performance
• MBA from recognized institutions; prior experience with biscuits/snacks/dairy categories preferred
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in sales reporting and dashboard tools
