Quality Manager - Manufacturing

The Quality Manager will oversee quality assurance and quality control operations for steel manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with international standards and customer specifications. This role involves leading quality improvement initiatives, managing inspection teams, and driving a culture of operational excellence.

• Lead quality assurance and quality control functions across steel manufacturing operations including hot rolling and finishing
• Develop and implement quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and industry standards
• Manage team of quality inspectors and technicians, ensuring proper testing protocols and documentation
• Investigate quality deviations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and optimize processes
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, Lean, and other quality methodologies to reduce defects

• 10+ years of experience in quality management in steel, metallurgy, or heavy manufacturing industries
• B.Tech/B.E. in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline; Master's degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of steel manufacturing processes, metallurgical testing, and quality standards
• Expertise in quality management systems, statistical process control, and quality tools
• Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent quality certification highly desirable
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional quality teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
