About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic Lead Category Manager to drive the Electronics category P&L, focusing on consumer electronics, mobile accessories, and wearables. This role involves strategic category planning, vendor management, and driving GMV growth through data-driven merchandising strategies.

What You Will Be Doing

Own P&L for the Electronics category with GMV targets of ₹500+ crores annually
Develop and execute category strategy including assortment planning, pricing, and promotional calendars
Manage relationships with top OEM brands and negotiate commercial terms, margins, and exclusive launches
Drive selection expansion by onboarding new brands and SKUs to improve catalog breadth and depth
Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and product teams to enhance customer experience and conversion rates
Analyze category performance metrics, competition landscape, and consumer trends to optimize merchandising decisions

What Flipkart Is Looking For

7-10 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or buying roles in e-commerce or retail
MBA from Tier-1 B-school with proven track record of managing high-revenue categories
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools
Deep understanding of e-commerce business models, marketplace dynamics, and vendor ecosystems
Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing relationships with large OEM brands
Data-driven decision maker with ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
Experience in consumer electronics or technology categories is highly preferred
