Regional Sales Head - Modern Trade

The Regional Sales Head will drive sales growth and market share expansion across modern trade channels (organized retail, e-commerce, quick commerce) in the East region covering West Bengal, Odisha, and Bihar. This leadership role requires managing key account relationships, trade marketing execution, and a high-performing sales team. You will report to the National Sales Head - Modern Trade.

• Drive revenue growth and market share gains across modern trade channels including Big Bazaar, Reliance, DMart, and e-commerce platforms
• Manage P&L for the region, ensuring achievement of volume, value, and profitability targets
• Develop and execute channel-specific strategies, promotional plans, and visibility programs in collaboration with trade marketing
• Build and manage strategic relationships with key account decision-makers and category managers
• Lead and develop a team of key account managers and merchandisers to ensure excellent execution at stores
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies

• MBA from reputed institution with 10+ years of sales experience in FMCG, preferably in foods or beverages
• Minimum 5 years managing modern trade or organized retail channels with proven track record of growth
• Strong understanding of modern trade dynamics, category management, and retail execution
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills with experience managing national retail chains
• Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Nielsen/Kantar data analysis
• Leadership experience managing regional teams (15-20 people) and driving performance through coaching
• Willingness to travel extensively within East region (70% travel expected)
