Principal Software Engineer - Backend

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to architect and build scalable backend systems for our payments infrastructure. You will drive technical excellence, mentor senior engineers, and make critical architectural decisions for systems processing billions of transactions.

• Design and architect highly scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems
• Lead technical initiatives across multiple teams and products
• Mentor and guide senior engineers on best practices and architecture
• Drive technical roadmap and make critical technology decisions
• Ensure system reliability, security, and performance at scale
• Collaborate with product and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience with distributed systems
• Expert-level proficiency in Java, Go, or Python
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns
• Experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL), message queues, and caching
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
