Principal DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to architect and scale our cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical payment systems processing 1000+ TPS. This role requires deep technical expertise in building highly available, secure, and compliant infrastructure for financial services.

• Architect and manage multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) handling billions in payment transactions
• Design and implement zero-downtime deployment strategies and disaster recovery mechanisms
• Lead infrastructure security initiatives ensuring PCI-DSS and RBI compliance
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, safe deployments for 200+ engineers
• Mentor DevOps team of 15+ engineers and establish best practices for infrastructure as code
• Drive cost optimization initiatives and implement FinOps practices across cloud infrastructure

• 9+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE roles with at least 3 years in fintech or regulated industries
• Expert-level knowledge of AWS or GCP, including networking, security, and compliance
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and infrastructure automation tools
• Proven track record of managing high-availability systems with 99.99%+ uptime SLAs
• Deep understanding of security best practices, encryption, and compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, ISO 27001)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go
