Plant Head - Automotive Components

Motherson Sumi Wiring India Limited is part of the Samvardhana Motherson Group, one of the world's largest manufacturers of automotive components. The company supplies wiring harnesses and electrical distribution systems to leading OEMs globally.

The Plant Head will be responsible for overall P&L management, production operations, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives at our 1,000+ employee manufacturing facility. This role requires strong operational leadership and automotive domain expertise.

• Manage complete plant operations with P&L responsibility for a ₹400+ crore revenue facility
• Lead production planning, scheduling, and execution to meet customer delivery requirements with zero PPM
• Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies
• Ensure compliance with ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, and customer-specific quality standards
• Manage vendor development, procurement, and supply chain coordination for critical components
• Lead a team of 50+ management staff and 1,000+ shop floor employees across multiple shifts

• 15+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing with at least 5 years as Plant Head/Unit Head
• Strong expertise in wiring harness manufacturing, assembly processes, and quality systems
• Proven track record of managing high-volume automotive plants with revenue of ₹300+ crores
• B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Production Engineering; MBA preferred
• Deep knowledge of automotive OEM requirements (Maruti, Hyundai, Tata Motors, etc.)
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is mandatory
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
