Lead Data Science Manager

We are looking for a Lead Data Science Manager to head our recommendation and personalization team, driving customer experience through advanced analytics and machine learning models. This role involves leading a team of data scientists and working closely with product and engineering teams to deploy ML models at scale.

• Lead a team of 8-12 data scientists working on personalization, recommendation systems, and customer segmentation
• Design and implement machine learning models that drive key business metrics including conversion, engagement, and retention
• Partner with product managers and engineers to translate business problems into data science solutions
• Establish best practices for experimentation, A/B testing, and model evaluation across the organization
• Drive the end-to-end ML lifecycle from problem definition to model deployment and monitoring in production
• Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and influence strategic decision-making

• 8+ years of experience in data science with at least 3 years in people management roles
• Strong expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Proven experience building and deploying recommendation systems or personalization engines at scale
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Hive)
• Excellent understanding of A/B testing methodologies and causal inference techniques
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field preferred
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams
