Design Engineer - Product Development

We are looking for a talented Design Engineer to join our product development team working on next-generation passenger vehicle platforms. This role involves conceptual design, 3D modeling, analysis, and validation of automotive components and systems to deliver world-class products.

• Lead design and development of automotive components including chassis, body structures, and mechanical systems
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical specifications using CATIA V5/V6
• Conduct engineering analysis including FEA, stress analysis, and design validation studies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, testing, and supplier development
• Drive design optimization for cost, weight, performance, and manufacturability
• Support prototype development, testing, and design validation activities through product launch

• 8+ years of experience in automotive design engineering with focus on mechanical systems
• Strong proficiency in CATIA V5/V6, CREO, or similar 3D CAD software
• Experience with FEA tools like ANSYS, Hypermesh, or ABAQUS for structural analysis
• Deep understanding of automotive design principles, manufacturing processes, and quality standards
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturing (DFM) principles
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering required; M.Tech preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced development environments
