Backend Developer - Microservices

We are hiring a Backend Developer to design and build microservices for our payments and checkout platform. This role involves architecting scalable APIs, optimizing database performance, and ensuring high availability during peak traffic periods like Big Billion Days. You will work with modern tech stacks and contribute to systems that handle millions of transactions daily.

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using Java/Spring Boot or similar frameworks
• Build RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures to support payments, order management, and checkout flows
• Optimize database queries, implement caching strategies, and ensure sub-second latency for critical transactions
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and contribute to technical documentation
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end features

• 6+ years of backend development experience with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, or similar technologies
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and API design principles
• Proficiency in databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis
• Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and system design concepts
• B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science or related field from reputed institution
• Experience in e-commerce, fintech, or high-traffic consumer applications is a plus
