Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Join Microsoft Azure's SRE team to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of cloud services serving millions of enterprise customers worldwide. You will work on large-scale distributed systems, automate operations, and implement practices that define industry standards in site reliability engineering.

• Ensure high availability and reliability of Azure services with 99.99% SLA serving global enterprise customers
• Build automation tools and frameworks to reduce manual toil and improve operational efficiency
• Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident management, and conduct post-incident reviews to drive improvements
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve service architecture, scalability, and resilience
• Develop capacity planning strategies, optimize resource utilization, and reduce cloud infrastructure costs

• 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
• Strong expertise in Azure or other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) with deep understanding of cloud services
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python, Go, PowerShell, Bash)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM templates)
• Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and distributed systems architecture
• Experience with monitoring tools, log analysis, and incident management practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex production issues under pressure
