Senior Data Scientist - Risk Analytics

We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist to lead credit risk modeling and fraud detection initiatives. This role involves developing sophisticated ML models for credit scoring, early warning systems, and fraud prevention across retail and corporate banking portfolios.

• Develop and deploy machine learning models for credit risk assessment, default prediction, and portfolio optimization
• Build fraud detection systems using anomaly detection, network analysis, and supervised learning techniques
• Design early warning indicators and monitoring dashboards for proactive risk management
• Conduct portfolio analysis, stress testing, and scenario modeling for regulatory compliance (Basel III, RBI guidelines)
• Collaborate with risk management, credit policy, and business teams to implement model-driven decisions
• Ensure model governance, validation, and documentation aligned with regulatory requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data science with strong focus on credit risk or fraud analytics in banking/NBFC
• Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and time series analysis
• Proficiency in Python/R, SQL, and ML frameworks (scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM)
• Strong understanding of credit risk concepts including PD, LGD, EAD, and Basel regulations
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) preferred
• M.Tech/MS in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science from premier institutions
• Excellent communication skills to present complex analytical insights to non-technical stakeholders
