Production Manager

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations for our commercial vehicle assembly line in Pune. You will be responsible for production planning, quality assurance, safety compliance, and team leadership. This role requires strong operational expertise and a commitment to manufacturing excellence.

• Manage end-to-end production operations for commercial vehicle assembly line producing 500+ units monthly
• Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols
• Implement lean manufacturing principles, 5S practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead a team of 150+ shop floor workers, supervisors, and technical staff
• Coordinate with planning, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams for seamless operations
• Monitor production metrics including OEE, cycle time, defect rates, and cost per unit

• 9+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing with at least 4 years in production management
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly operations, and quality systems
• Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering from recognized institution
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and people management skills
• Proficiency in production planning tools, MES systems, and manufacturing analytics
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred
