The Principal Cloud Architect will lead the design and evolution of Razorpay's cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency for mission-critical payment systems. This is a high-visibility role requiring deep technical expertise in multi-cloud environments and the ability to drive architectural decisions across engineering teams. You will be responsible for shaping the cloud strategy and ensuring best practices in cloud-native development.

• Define and drive cloud architecture strategy across AWS, Azure, and GCP for payment processing and banking platforms
• Design highly available, fault-tolerant, and auto-scaling infrastructure to handle millions of transactions per day
• Lead migration initiatives from legacy systems to cloud-native microservices architecture
• Establish infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Kubernetes operators
• Optimize cloud costs through rightsizing, reserved instances, and efficient resource utilization strategies
• Mentor DevOps and Platform Engineering teams on cloud best practices, security, and observability

• 9+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure with at least 4 years in architect-level roles
• Expert-level knowledge of AWS services including EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, and networking components
• Strong experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration at scale
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines
• Deep understanding of cloud security, compliance, and disaster recovery strategies
• Experience in fintech or high-transaction environments with focus on reliability and performance
• Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, GCP Professional Architect) preferred
