Lead Security Architect

The Lead Security Architect will design and oversee the implementation of enterprise-wide security architecture for Paytm's payment platforms and financial services infrastructure. This role demands deep expertise in application security, cloud security, and compliance frameworks applicable to the fintech domain. You will work closely with engineering, product, and compliance teams to build security into every layer of the technology stack.

• Design comprehensive security architecture for payment systems, mobile applications, and cloud infrastructure ensuring PCI-DSS and RBI compliance
• Lead security assessment and threat modeling for new products and features before production deployment
• Establish security standards, frameworks, and best practices across development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide guidance on secure coding practices, authentication mechanisms, and data protection
• Collaborate with SOC teams to define detection rules and incident response procedures for critical systems
• Manage vulnerability assessment programs and oversee remediation efforts across the technology landscape

• 10+ years of experience in information security with at least 5 years in security architecture roles
• Deep expertise in application security, API security, cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), and cryptography
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks including OWASP, NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS compliance requirements
• Experience in fintech, banking, or payment domains with understanding of regulatory requirements
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or CEH are highly preferred
• Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate security risks to technical and business stakeholders
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
