Lead Computer Vision Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Computer Vision Engineer to build next-generation visual search and product recognition systems. This role involves developing state-of-the-art CV models that power image search, fashion recommendations, and automated quality control across Flipkart's vast product catalog.

• Design and develop advanced computer vision models for visual search, object detection, and image classification
• Build and optimize deep learning architectures using CNNs, Vision Transformers, and multi-modal models
• Deploy CV models at scale to handle millions of images and real-time inference requirements
• Collaborate with product teams to integrate CV capabilities into search, recommendations, and seller tools
• Lead experimentation with emerging CV techniques including zero-shot learning and diffusion models
• Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for CV model development and deployment

• 6+ years of experience in computer vision and deep learning with strong production deployment track record
• Expertise in PyTorch or TensorFlow and computer vision libraries like OpenCV, PIL, and Detectron2
• Strong understanding of CNN architectures (ResNet, EfficientNet, YOLO, etc.) and Vision Transformers
• Experience with large-scale ML infrastructure, model serving, and optimization techniques
• M.Tech/PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field from premier institutions preferred
• Publications in top-tier CV conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV) is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business problems into CV solutions
