Engineering Manager - Backend

• Lead and mentor a team of 8-12 backend engineers, conducting performance reviews and career development
• Drive technical excellence and establish engineering best practices
• Collaborate with product managers to define roadmap and prioritize features
• Architect and oversee development of highly scalable backend systems
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and security standards are met
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

• 9+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in engineering management
• Strong technical background in backend development using Java, Python, or Go
• Experience building and scaling distributed systems and microservices
• Proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams
• Deep understanding of databases, caching, message queues, and system design
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
