Design Engineer

The Design Engineer will be responsible for detailed engineering design of mechanical and structural components for heavy engineering projects in power, oil & gas, and infrastructure sectors. This role demands technical excellence, innovative problem-solving, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

• Develop detailed engineering designs for mechanical equipment, structural systems, and piping layouts for mega projects
• Perform engineering calculations, stress analysis, and simulations using FEA and CFD tools
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, material requisitions, and design reports using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and STAAD Pro
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including civil, electrical, and instrumentation engineers
• Review vendor drawings, conduct design validation, and ensure compliance with international codes and standards
• Support procurement, manufacturing, and site teams during project execution phases

• 8+ years of experience in mechanical or civil design engineering within heavy engineering or infrastructure sector
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
• Strong proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, STAAD Pro, or equivalent
• In-depth knowledge of international design codes such as ASME, API, IS codes, Eurocodes
• Experience in power plants, petrochemical facilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and quality
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in collaborative project environments
