Data Scientist - Advanced Analytics

The Data Scientist will develop advanced predictive models and analytical solutions for retail and CPG clients, translating complex business problems into data science frameworks. This role demands expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and business consulting to deliver measurable impact on client revenue and profitability.

• Design and develop predictive models for customer segmentation, demand forecasting, price optimization, and marketing mix modeling
• Lead end-to-end analytics projects from problem definition through data exploration, model development, validation, and deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, business consultants, and client stakeholders
• Communicate complex analytical findings through compelling visualizations and executive presentations
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to Fractal's analytics best practices and methodology development
• Stay current with latest data science techniques, tools, and industry trends to drive innovation

• Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related quantitative field from premier institutions
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in data science, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics
• Strong proficiency in Python/R, SQL, and machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Expertise in statistical techniques including regression, classification, clustering, time series, and causal inference
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
• Proven track record delivering business impact through analytics solutions in retail, CPG, or BFSI domains
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
