Claims Manager

The Claims Manager will lead the claims operations for the motor and health insurance vertical, ensuring efficient claim processing, compliance with regulatory norms, and superior customer experience. This role requires strong leadership, deep domain expertise in insurance claims, and the ability to drive process improvements.

• Manage end-to-end claims operations for assigned portfolio with focus on TAT and customer satisfaction
• Lead a team of 15-20 claims processors and ensure adherence to SLAs and quality standards
• Develop and implement claims strategies to reduce fraud, improve accuracy, and optimize costs
• Liaise with surveyors, TPAs, hospitals, and garages for seamless claim settlement
• Monitor claim rejection ratios, repudiation trends, and ensure compliance with IRDAI guidelines
• Drive automation and digital initiatives to enhance claims processing efficiency

• 8-12 years of experience in insurance claims management, preferably in motor and health segments
• Strong knowledge of IRDAI regulations, claims procedures, and underwriting guidelines
• Proven experience in managing large teams and achieving operational KPIs
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline; insurance certifications like IC 33, IC 38 preferred
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel, claims management systems
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve complex claim disputes
